Monomoy Awarded Mergers & Acquisitions Deal of the Year for Trinity Highway Products

We are honored to have our acquisition of Trinity Highway Products included in Mergers and Acquisitions’ 15th Annual Top Middle-Market Deals, winning Deal of the Year in the industrials sector.

Congratulations to the Deal Team, Mel Bartoul, Helen Ruth, Charlie Cannon, Connor Tinquist and Scott Chudacoff, for skillfully navigating a complex corporate carve-out of a publicly traded company.

Deal background:

  • Monomoy acquired Trinity Highway Products from Trinity Industries (NYSE: TRN) in December 2021.
  • Working closely with the seller and the management team, the team successfully navigated the complexities of both a corporate carveout and take-private transaction.
  • By creating a detailed separation plan during the diligence process, the Deal Team offered the seller’s board certainty of execution and were able to advance the transition process ahead of closing.
  • As an independent platform, Trinity looks to benefit from the tailwinds in the highway safety products industry, including long-term infrastructure spending
