Monomoy Capital Partners Acquires Texas Pride Trailers
PARTNERSHIP POSITIONS THE NATION’S LARGEST FACTORY-DIRECT TRAILER MANUFACTURER FOR ITS NEXT CHAPTER OF GROWTH
NEW YORK (May 28, 2026) – Monomoy Capital Partners today announced its acquisition of Texas Pride Trailers. Monomoy is the first institutional investor in the founder-led business, which manufactures and sells professional-grade open steel trailers factory-direct to commercial customers across the United States.
Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Madisonville, Texas, Texas Pride has grown into a leading manufacturer and direct retailer of heavy-duty work trailers — including dump, roll-off, flatbed and lowboy configurations — with a manufacturing facility and sales lots across six states. Texas Pride has over 300 employees who build every trailer in-house from domestically sourced steel, serving contractors, landscapers, waste haulers and small business owners nationwide.
“What the Texas Pride team has accomplished over the past 27 years is something I’m incredibly proud of,” said Texas Pride Founder and CEO Jim Bray. “We expanded our business by adopting a different approach: selling directly to customers, investing in our brand and building lasting relationships with everyone we work with — including our employees, customers, vendors and now our strategic partner. In Monomoy, we found strong alignment around the future of the business and the opportunities ahead. We’re excited for what comes next.”
Building on Texas Pride’s strong foundation, Monomoy will partner with management to support the company’s continued growth and explore strategic opportunities ahead.
“Texas Pride is exactly the kind of business our operating team is built to partner with,” said Monomoy Managing Director Kevin Mulligan. “Jim, Daniel and their team have created something special — a highly differentiated model with real competitive strength. With deep experience partnering with founder-led manufacturers, we look forward to bringing the resources and operational support to help scale what they’ve already built so well.”
Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal counsel to Monomoy.
