Looking Back at the Monomoy 2025 Internship Experience

“I was grateful for the opportunity to regularly engage with team members at every level — from associates to partners — and was consistently met with openness and respect throughout each interaction.” — Colin Rosato, 2025 Monomoy Summer Intern

We’re proud to recognize the contributions of our 2025 Monomoy Intern Class. From day one, these individuals brought a fresh perspective, intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic to our Origination, Credit and Investment teams.

Over the course of the program, our interns were exposed to the key aspects of Monomoy’s culture, contributing directly to live deals and portfolio initiatives, participating in on-site company visits and collaborating with team members across all levels of the firm.

We are grateful to this year’s group, who greatly contributed to the Monomoy team this summer!

This summer, having the opportunity to be staffed on my first active deal, completing my own analysis and providing a full recommendation to the deal team helped me develop an investor’s mindset. Seeing firsthand how the team handles nuanced situations and then applies those learnings from past deals significantly contributed to my growth as a private equity professional.

During my first week of staffing, I had the opportunity to work on three different deal teams. Monomoy team members at every level made themselves available to answer questions and work through material. With their support, I was able to immediately contribute to the diligence process and get actionable feedback on my work.

One of the most unexpected — and most fun — memories from my summer was having the opportunity to train Jiu-Jitsu with Monomoy Founder & Co-CEO Dan Collin. What began as a casual conversation about his passion became a full training session the following week, which was an unforgettable way to connect with leadership.

Sitting in the bullpen is a defining aspect of the internship experience. While it was a space for focused, heads-down work, it also fostered casual conversations, spontaneous brainstorming and genuine camaraderie. Over time, the relationships developed in that space became foundational to my learnings.

I was grateful to work this summer right between Jeff and Conner. They made me feel as if I could always lean over and ask a question, and they were happy to help with any interaction. Their input helped me in creating a work product of which I could be proud.
