Across our Investment, Credit and Operating Teams, we are excited to announce six recent promotions. In consistently embodying Monomoy’s values in their commitment to leadership and excellence, these individuals strive to lead in each of their endeavors.

Scott Chudacoff — Vice President, Investment Team
Scott earned more than just a promotion in 2025; he also completed his first “round-trip” investment with the sale of Astro Shapes in January. Astro Shapes was one of Scott’s first staffing assignments when he joined Monomoy as an Associate in 2020, and while there was a definite feeling of being thrown into the fire, he counts his first firm-wide offsite in 2021 as a highlight of his tenure, so he must have recovered quickly. More recently, Scott was a critical deal team member in our acquisition of Oliver Paper and Packaging, and counts being provided with ample mentorship and runway when working on live deals as key drivers in expanding his skillset.

Conner Elliot – Senior Associate, Credit Team
Conner joined Monomoy in 2022, narrowly missing the title of the Credit Team’s first dedicated Associate by just a few weeks. Since then, he and Jeff have formed a dynamic duo, with Conner playing an integral role across every phase of the credit investment process. He has contributed meaningfully to internal infrastructure, from developing template models to supporting data requests for MCOF fundraising. Conner was drawn to Monomoy by its culture of transparency and learning – particularly the opportunity to work closely with senior investment professionals and receive hands-on mentorship. Three years in, he continues to value the firm’s collaborative, down-to-earth environment and the variety each day brings. Some of his favorite memories include go-karting with coworkers in the Dominican Republic, sparring in jiu-jitsu with Dan and the interns, and tossing the football across the bullpen with Jeff.

Dan Gustafson — Vice President, Operating Team
Dan’s impact on our portfolio companies speaks for itself. He joined Monomoy’s Operating Team as an Associate in 2021, just as we were acquiring Cast Crete, and his timing couldn’t have been better. Onboarding alongside the company gave Dan a unique perspective early on, and over the past four years, he’s grown into a trusted partner to management, contributing to complex strategic planning initiatives. He also credits Monomoy’s integrated deal teams, where everyone gets a seat at the table, for giving him a front-row seat to key decision-making across the portfolio. While Dan’s technical skills and contributions have grown steadily, his basketball skills, unfortunately, have not.

Charlie Johnson — Vice President, Investment Team
Since joining Monomoy as an Associate in 2020, Charlie has steadily climbed the ranks, first to Senior Associate and now to Vice President. Looking back on his five-year journey, Charlie highlights Monomoy’s 2024 acquisition of Waupaca Foundry as a defining moment. As the largest deal in the firm’s history (and a complex, fast-paced corporate carveout), it gave him a front-row seat to big-league complexity and more responsibility than he expected for his title at the time. We knew he could do it. Over the past eighteen months, Charlie’s worked closely with the Waupaca management team to launch key value creation initiatives, an experience he counts among the most rewarding of his career so far.

Danny Kaplan — Director, Investment Team
In the eight years since Danny joined Monomoy as an Associate, he has worked on a variety of transactions, most recently supporting the acquisition of EnviroTech in early 2024 and two subsequent add-on acquisitions to expand the specialty chemical distribution platform. Outside of his deal-related work, Danny has played a key role in shaping Monomoy’s internship program and counts introducing bright, early-career talent to the Monomoy style of investing as one of the highlights of his tenure. He credits Monomoy’s open-door, high-access culture for helping him learn, evolve and develop as an investor and teammate. Unfortunately, those strengths didn’t help his team win our 2024 Mid-Year Meeting Scavenger Hunt, though the Statue of Liberty foam crowns were a noble effort.

Jeff Williams — Senior Associate, Credit Team
Jeff joined Monomoy in 2022 as the Credit Team’s first-ever dedicated Associate. Having worked with the Monomoy team in a prior role, Jeff was excited to become part of the tight-knit group and play a hands-on role in building and managing the Credit portfolio. Over the past three years, Jeff has taken on a wide range of responsibilities, from conducting deep diligence on new opportunities, closely overseeing active investments and supporting the broader growth of the firm’s Credit Strategy. For Jeff, the collaborative culture across the Credit Team and the broader Monomoy platform, as well as the opportunity to work closely with experienced investment professionals, has been a standout experience.
